Riverview Recipe: Strawberry Pie





1 c. water

1 c. sugar

3 Tbsp. cornstarch

3 Tbsp. strawberry jello

1 pt. fresh strawberries (sliced or whole)

½ pint whipping cream




Combine water, sugar and cornstarch. Cook until thick. Add jello. Set aside and cool slightly. Place strawberries in cooked 9 inch pie crust. Pour mixture over strawberries.


Chill several hours. Top with whipped cream before serving.


Variation: Can spread softened cream cheese on bottom of pie crust before adding strawberries.
