February

We are fast approaching the month of February. While it is probably just me, February ranks right up there with August as my two least favorite months of the year. As far as I am concerned, February is an entire month of Mondays. It’s a great month for quail hunting, but that’s about its only redeeming characteristic for me.

We are going into the home stretch of the 2020-2021 hunting season. Cader IV and the staff have done an amazing job in this Covid challenged hunting season. We have protected all of our employees and guests with a fanatical attention to detail to ensure that everyone is protected from the Coronavirus, and it HAS WORKED!

Hopefully most of you, like me, are about ready to get your second Covid shot. My second shot is scheduled for February 9th. I intend to keep wearing my mask and practicing social distancing even after my second shot. Well, I won’t practice social distancing from Rebel who is at his happiest when he is nuzzled into my neck and is licking my face.

When you have your shots and begin to feel a bit more comfortable, why don’t you give us a call, and check out March reservation openings. I know that we still have some available dates in March for you to satisfy your need for a quail hunting trip.

In closing, I have really struggled to find things in my home since Martha went to be with the Lord. Of course, Martha always said that I couldn’t find my socks in my sock drawer. I am proud to say that I now have a complete collection of salad bowls that I can put my hands on. The only slight problem is that they all say, ”Cool Whip”, on the side.

Take care. Stay safe and come visit with us before the season ends in late March!
